Transformers: War For Cybertron Promotional 3D Projection

Thanks to the China Weibo account we have a video of a promotional 3D display in Chengdu, China. The promo depicts Optimus Prime, Optimus Primal and Megatron.

Transformers Console Game gains new title

Co-developer for Halo: Infinite, Certain Affinity, who have worked on many titles including Warframe, is developing a new third-person shooter game based on Transformers. Aaron Hamilton Cook, a Senior Producer at Certain Affinity appeared on a podcast and dropped the possible title 'Transformers: Rise'

The game in question has been in development since around 2017 although it is believed that beta testing is supposed to be around the end of this year. Given the recent title change, it's possible the game might be intending to promotes itself via association with Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, which could tease towards what the game might include in terms of characters.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Optimus Prime Vehicle mode in action

A short video has appeared online thanks to Cybertron 21 showing Optimus Prime's vehicle mode in action on the set of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Instagram users ramdeenstudios and rickpans69 have uploaded several images of the vehicle also. Filming is still continuing in Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal, Canada.

Cryptic Transformers References appear online

 

It appears that a viral marketing campaign might have already begun for something Transformers related, potentially Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. We have a paranormal investigator, who is investigating quarries and dig sites, discovering giant robot insects and the distinct sound of a Transformation.

 

At one stage our investigator speculates about how a new tech start-up might actually have discovered and started reverse engineering alien technology leading us to Rebellium Dynamics, a company that describes itself as "Technology that transforms your world. We're building the tech of tomorrow - robotics, cybernetics, and next generation energy solutions. We are Rebellium" 

The background of the logo is covered in Cybertronian text, though it is unclear if it can be decyphered at the current time. It's worth noting that while these accounts present the information as being fairly modern, Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts is apparently set in the 90's throwing doubt as to if this is connected or potentially an ARG of some sorts. For the moment it's best keeping an eye as the situation evolves.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Mirage's Alt-Mode closer look

Twitter user iamconnorwoods has shared new images of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Mirage vehicle mode. It appears this was during filming for a car chase sequences where vehicles used for the scene were stored in a parking lot.

 

Reptilian Predacons in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

More information on the seventh Transformers live-action movie has been revealed by its director, Steven Caple Jr:

"The Predacons in our film are more reptilian in nature. ... It's all about building a backstory to these characters, and we'll see that more on the Predacon and Terracon side"

This would be a change from pre-existing lore of Predacons, whose ranks in the Beast Wars series featured Spiders (Blackarachnia, Tarantulas), Scorpions (Scorponok, Quickstrike), Wasps (Waspinator), Crabs (Rampage) and an Ant (Inferno) - although perhaps this is being done to more easily differentiate the factions to start with to stand out when compared to the Decepticons and Terrorcons who will also be in the film.

He also remarked on further exploring the dynamics of Optimus Prime, which was something teased would be explored in a potential sequel to Bumblebee. Though it is unclear how much it will take from the Bumblebee film at this time.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Synopsis Revealed

The official synopsis for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts has been revealed:

"Set in the 1990s, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on an action-packed, globetrotting adventure as the Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons join the battle between the Autobots and Decepticons on Earth. Noah, a sharp young guy from Brooklyn, and Elena, an ambitious, talented artifact researcher, are swept up in the conflict as Optimus Prime and the Autobots face a terrifying new nemesis bent on their destruction named Scourge. Directed by Steven Caple Jr. and starring Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback."

Scourge is believed to be the leader of the Terrorcon faction and will take some inspiration from his Robots In Disguise appearance along with the original animated Transformers movie, he may also have ties to Unicron.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Set Images: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Mirage

 

 

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts set photo's have appeared online showing off the vehicle modes for Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Mirage.

 

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is currently set for a release on June 24th 2022.

Transformers War For Cybertron: Kingdom Released

The final part of the War For Cybertron Netflix Trilogy has been officially released on Netflix. The series which has featured the conflict between the Autobots and Decepticons following an attempt to use the Allspark by Megatron, forced to chase after the Allspark to save Cybertron. 

The most recent installment, Transformers: Kingdom follows the two factions arriving on a prehistoric Earth where they encounter their future descendants the Maximals led by Optimus Primal and the Predacons led by Megatron, inspired by his namesake.

The Transformers: The Movie returns to theaters in the US for 35th Anniversary

Fathom Events has partnered with Hasbro to bring the beloved animated feature back to the big screen as part of a two-night only event across the U.S. on Sunday September 26th and Tuesday Spetember 28th. Tickets do not seem to be available yet, but you can check it out here.

Today is the 80th Birthday for Optimus Prime's most notable voice actor, Peter Cullen. Best wishes to him and hope he is celebrating.

Transformers: Kingdom Countdown - Final Day Promo

Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy - Kingdom Official Trailer revealed

 

The trailer for the culmination of the Transformers: War for Cybertron Netflix trilogy has been released, highlighting several aspects fans can expect to see when the series releases on Netflix on July 29th. Most notably is the inclusion of the Predacons and Maximals who ally with the Decepticons and Autobots respectively. 

Although the series has had a mixed response so far, I am still intrigued to see how it ends.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Officially Announced

The 7th live action Transformers movie has officially been titled 'Transformers: Rise of the Beasts' and is set to be released on June 24th 2022. 

The movie is expected to expand the conflict of the Autobots and Decepticons by bringing in different factions (tribes) including the Maximals, Predacons and Terrorcons. Similar to Bumblebee it is believed to have a loose canonicity with the original pentalogy of films. It is also intended to be a big summer blockbuster movie with the deeper character story style that was present in Bumblebee.
